Duncannon and Penn Twp. Recycling Rules
The following rules and regulations have been provided by
Duncannon Boy Scout Troop 64. The rules are designed to provide
a recycling center for the residents of the Duncannon Borough
and Penn Township. The goal is to provide a safe, clean, and
efficient means for people to recycle.
1. The Recycling center will be operated by Duncannon Boy Scout
Troop 64. |
2. The Recycling Center will be open the 2nd Saturday of the
month.
3. The Recycling Center hours of operation will be set by Troop
64. The hours will be from 8 AM until 11 AM. If there is a need
for recycling center hours to be extended, the Troop Committee
and related municipalities will discuss options.
4. Troop 64 will continue the curb side pick up of recyclables
and honor their commitment to the Duncannon Borough. Borough
residents can and will be encouraged to use the center as a drop
off site at the designated open times.
5. The type of materials collected and accepted at the recycling
center will be determined by Troop 64 and the Perry County
Recycling program.
6. All materials collected and dropped off must be separated and
cleaned.
7. All dropped off recyclables must not produce any extra non
recyclable items labeled as garbage. This would include
materials not recyclable, caps, bags, or any other container
that the materials are delivered in. The Troop will encourage
residents to bring materials in a container in which they can
reuse. (Bucket, Box, ECT.) All containers used to haul
recyclables to the drop off center need to go back home with the
concept of keeping trash to a minimum.
8. The Scouts have the right to reject any or all materials that
do not meet these requirements. This is for the Safety of the
Scouts and volunteers.
